Cancer CAREpoint Wig Bank

Cancer CAREpoint’s Wig Bank provides personalized support for cancer patients experiencing hair loss. During their appointment, clients learn how to select, wear, and care for wigs, and receive helpful tips for using hats and scarves. Just as important, they are met with understanding, emotional support, and encouragement as they navigate one of the most challenging side effects of treatment.

Wig fitting services are available at our Resource Center as well as at several partner locations, including Valley Medical Center, and Sutter facilities in Palo Alto, Fremont, Santa Cruz, Sunnyvale, and San Mateo.  One adult family member or caregiver is welcome—and encouraged—to attend the appointment.

In addition to choosing a wig, clients may also select a complimentary head covering such as a hat or scarf.
