How we make a difference with your support:
Comfort Care Kits – $75
A warm blanket and other comfort items, journal, coloring book and pencils, nutritional tips and other information related to needs that arise during cancer treatment. Each care kit can be personalized with a cookbook, a guide for caregivers, port pillows, and head coverings.
Personalized Nutrition Consultation – $100
During cancer treatment patients may experience side effects and nutritional challenges, requiring personalized nutrition advice and support. Clients are connected with Cancer CAREpoint’s nutritionist for one-on-one sessions to address their unique needs.
Wig Boutique Appointment – $125
During each personalized appointment, clients are offered a new, high-quality wig with all necessary wig care items (shampoo, stand, comb) as well as two head-coverings (caps or scarves) and wig care instructions and care advice.
Craft Event for Clients – $250
There is comfort and joy found in gathering as a community. Craft gatherings for 15-18 clients, including snacks and beverages and craft supplies, encourage connection and provide an opportunity to relax and focus on something enjoyable.
Spread the Word about Cancer CAREpoint! – $500
The programs and services provided by Cancer CAREpoint fill a crucial need. Patients, survivors and families should be able to easily obtain information about our resources. Being a “best-kept secret” is never the goal for an organization like Cancer CAREpoint. Marketing and outreach activities are an important part of ensuring no one faces cancer alone in the Bay Area.
Counseling Sessions for Individuals, Couples, and Families – $1,000 for 10 Sessions
One-on-one, couple and family counseling sessions with licensed therapists. During these sessions, the focus is strengths-based: drawing on the resources and abilities that clients already have as well as identifying new resources to address the issues currently being experienced, and goal-oriented: thinking about how to address future needs throughout treatment and beyond.
Two Facilitated Support Groups per Month – $2,500 for One Year
Support groups provide a space for support and engagement with others who have similar experiences, allowing for connection and information sharing. All Cancer CAREpoint groups are facilitated by licensed therapists.
Exercise and Movement Class – $5,000 for One Year
Each exercise and movement class at Cancer CAREpoint is designed to support clients throughout their cancer treatment. Caregivers and family members are also welcome to participate in the gentle and mindful movements that support health and well-being.
