The uncertainty that often surrounds the cancer experience can add anxiety to an already stressful situation. We will look at how uncertainty affects us and learn some tools for coping with it.

Carbs make up the main source of energy that fuels the brain, muscles and vital body components. Carbs are found in sugars, starches, and fiber. This talk will review which carbs are healthy to enjoy and which are not-so-healthy to limit or avoid.

When someone you love is diagnosed with cancer, it can feel like there are more questions than answers. This supportive session is designed for family members, friends, and loved ones navigating the practical and emotional challenges of cancer.
Learn about common experiences during treatment, reliable information and resources, communication strategies, changing family roles, and ways to care for yourself while supporting someone through treatment.
Leave with practical tools, trusted resources, and greater confidence in navigating the journey ahead.
Programs
Counseling and Family CARE
Cancer CAREpoint offers one-on-one, couple and family counseling sessions with Master’s level professionally trained counselors.
Exercise & Movement
Studies have found that cancer patients who engage in moderate exercise each week experience significant benefits, both physical and emotional. Cancer CAREpoint offers classes in gentle movement, yoga, qigong and finding balance.
Mind-body Skills
Cancer CAREpoint offers classes in meditation, guided imagery, and mind-body skills. Meditation helps manage stress and anxiety and is beneficial to cancer patients and their caregivers. Guided Imagery can prepare patients for treatment, medical appointments and other cancer-related procedures.
Nutrition Services
Proper nutrition can help cancer patients with recovery, vitality and quality of life. Cancer CAREpoint’s classes deliver information about the best nutrition during and after treatment, and provide recipes and information about how eating well can make a difference in your health.
Support Groups
Cancer CAREpoint provides a wide variety of support groups for both cancer patients and their caregivers and families. All groups provide a supportive environment to explore the challenges of a cancer diagnosis.
Survivorship
More and more individuals are living with cancer and facing the emotional and physical challenges that come with finishing treatment. Cancer CAREpoint has created a variety of programs to support cancer survivors.
Wig Services
Experienced Cancer CAREpoint Wig Bank volunteers will help cancer patients select a wig and head covering. They will also give instructions on how to use and care for the wig.
