Judy Chirco

Judy graduated from San Jose State University and became involved in advocating for services in her community. Her work began when her children were in elementary school when she became involved with People Acting in Community Together (PACT). Working with PACT Judy advocated for access to health care with the Healthy Kids program. Judy worked to preserve community benefits when hospitals were converting from not for profit to a for profit model. She served her community on the Cambrian School Board for 11 years and on the San Jose City Council for 8 years with her last two years as Vice Mayor. Judy's personal experience with cancer gives her a deep feeling for what individuals and families experience when they get a diagnosis of cancer.
