Gay Crawford, Founding President

Gay has over 40 years experience in the cancer field. She is a founder of Hospice of the Valley, an Honorary Life Member of the American Cancer Society, and a founder of the State's Cancer Registry and a number of other programs. She served as a reviewer on the national research program of the American Cancer Society, where more than $100 million is distributed nationally. She has numerous awards to her credit, including The American Cancer Society's highest volunteer honor, the St. George Medal, and a Lifetime Achievement Award, the KPIX Jefferson Award and the 2015 Silicon Valley Business Journal’s Women of Influence award. An involved member of the Rotary Club of San Jose and a Sustainer in the Junior League of San Jose, Inc., Gay was the co-founder of Cancer CAREpoint with Bill Piché and in 2012 became Cancer CAREpoint’s first officially elected president.
