Allison runs her own consulting practice in Silicon Valley focused on marketing strategy and communications. Early in her career she worked in cancer research at Johnson & Johnson, followed by numerous positions in sales and marketing management for medical device organizations including Eppendorf, Carl Zeiss, Radionics and Photoelectron. Allison received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Simmons College and an M.B.A. from Sacred Heart University. After her father died from lung cancer, Allison set out to make a difference in the cancer community. She served as Chair of the Board of Directors of the National Brain Tumor Foundation (now known as the National Brain Tumor Society) for five years. Judy graduated from San Jose State University and became involved in advocating for services in her community. Her work began when her children were in elementary school when she became involved with People Acting in Community Together (PACT). Working with PACT Judy advocated for access to health care with the Healthy Kids program. Judy worked to preserve community benefits when hospitals were converting from not for profit to a for profit model. She served her community on the Cambrian School Board for 11 years and on the San Jose City Council for 8 years with her last two years as Vice Mayor. Sandi has been involved with Cancer CAREpoint from its inception, as a member of the organizational steering committee, and as a fundraiser and active volunteer. She now serves as a Community Events Liaison with community groups and individuals who sponsor events and activities in support of Cancer CAREpoint. Sandi studied social work at San Jose State and has been active for more than 30 years in nonprofit agencies that serve the Silicon Valley community, including Almaden Valley Counseling Service where she served as a board member and Auxiliary president. Through the personal cancer experiences of family members, Sandi became aware of the need for more support services for individuals whose lives are touched by cancer, and she is a passionate advocate for programs that provide those services. Jan, a retired Los Gatos High School teacher and Activities Director, is a past School Board member, past President of The Summit League, and has been active in many other community organizations and events. She became an activist in cancer after too many of her family members and friends were diagnosed with the disease. As a result of her experiences, she joined the American Cancer Society Board of Silicon Valley, hoping to make a difference in the lives of those suffering from cancer. Dr. Zeidler received a B.A. degree with honors from Rice University. She obtained her Doctorate of Medicine at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine where she graduated at the top of her class and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. After medical school, she continued her career at UCSF, completing both general surgery and plastic surgery training. During her training, Dr. Zeidler was acknowledged with UCSF's Krevan's award for outstanding clinical care of her patients. She then completed an additional advanced microsurgical clinical instructorship at Stanford University Medical Center where she perfected her skills in cutting edge breast reconstruction techniques. Dr. Zeidler has authored numerous medical journal articles, has lectured nationwide, and is continuing her academic research with new technologies that will improve the process of breast reconstruction.
